We welcome Owen Getz as our new brother in Christ. Collection for this month: HarvestCall General Fund: (Harvestcall Mission on bboard and with emailed announcements) Many hurting people throughout the world languish in spiritual and material poverty. By working together as a brotherhood through HarvestCall, we can offer assistance and hope by proclaiming Christ and serving others; striving to see that God is glorified as despair and suffering are alleviated, hearts and minds are transformed and churches are established and nurtured. Your generosity is important and necessary to meet the needs of the various missions of our brotherhood. Attached is a PDF of the Purpose, Vision, Mission and Guiding Principles of HarvestCall. Parkview Haven Services Tuesday evening 7:00 p.m. Will look to those on the lunch serving list in December to provide the support group for the evening. HarvestCall Family night tomorrow evening at the distribution building in Wolcott. Work will be packaging food items for distribution. No signup is necessary. The HarvestCall Disaster Fund is set up to provide money for relief efforts in the immediate aftermath of a natural disasters and development efforts in response to those disasters. Position: Support was given at our annual meeting in January for a committee to be formed to research a separate Sunday School Superintendent Position, with a proposal to be brought back to the church. A committee of eight brothers who have served as Sunday School Superintendents met and discussed different options for this position which was then shared with the current Remington Sunday School teachers and there was unanimous support. The proposal for this position will be shared via email announcements (see attachment) and the church will then be asked for their support next week. If supported this position will be included and filled with the Sunday School Teacher Nominations at our 2024 annual meeting in January. Please contact SS Supt Bros. Collection for this month: Charity Fund There is a need to periodically replenish the Disaster Fund, and HarvestCall would like to request a collection be taken to do this. As you know, the HarvestCall Disaster Fund is set up to provide money for relief efforts in the immediate aftermath of a natural disaster like Hurricane Idalia that so recently hit Florida and the southeast and for longer term rehabilitation and development efforts in response to those disasters. The Special Collection Box will be open for this collection the next three weeks. Please designate “disaster fund” on your contribution. (see attachment) Information about the upcoming online and in-person Hospital Lumiere benefit auction on Friday, November 10 in Gridley, IL is on the bulletin board. We are thankful to be adding back in the live, in-person event. There will be many exciting things to bid on and the financial support is so important to sustaining this medical mission. We are collecting items now. Your donated tools, toys, services, household items, food, etc. are what makes this auction possible.
