  • Collection for this month: HarvestCall Servant Fund:
    The Servant Fund of the Apostolic Christian Church of America provides modest financial support for living expenses of brethren sent as full-time missionaries by HarvestCall.

  • There is a need to periodically replenish the Disaster Fund, and HarvestCall would like to request a collection be taken. The HarvestCall Disaster Fund is set up to provide money for relief efforts in the immediate aftermath of a natural disasters and development efforts in response to those disasters. The Special Collection Box will be open for this collection thru next Sunday October 15th. Please designate “disaster fund” on your contribution. (see attachment)
  • HarvestCall Family night, Monday evening at the HC distribution center. Light supper at 6:00 p.m. with projects from 6:30 – 8:30.

  • Please mark your calendars for the Hospital Lumiere Benefit Auction coming up in November. There will be an online auction from Thursday, November 2 at 4 p.m. through Saturday, November 4 at 4 p.m., and a live, in-person auction on Friday, November 10th in Gridley, IL at 7:00 p.m. with a meal starting at 4:30.
    The auction is still in need of items to be donated if you would like to contribute in that way. These items should be in by October 27th. For more information on the auction and how to donate items, please visit the auction website         https://www.harvestcall.org/benefit-auction.
  • Registration for the 2023 Apologetics Conference on Saturday, November 11 in Indianapolis is now open to all interested attendees.  Registration is required and will close on November 1. (More details see attachment)
  • Isaac & Skyler’s wedding is in 2 weeks. To help with lunch serving please let Sis. Lori S. know if you plan to be gone.
  • 3rd thru 8th grade singing practice. Wednesday evening, 7:30 p.m. at the Fellowship Hall.
  • Our chapters this week are: Hebrews 12 & 13, 2nd Peter 1-3.
  • Midweek Services: Remington.
  • Sunday School Supt. Position:  Support was given at our annual meeting in January for a committee to be formed to research a separate Sunday School Superintendent Position, with a proposal to be brought back to the church.
    A committee of eight brothers who have served as Sunday School Superintendents met and discussed different options for this position which was then shared with the current Remington Sunday School teachers and there was unanimous support.
    The proposal for this position will be shared via email announcements (see attachment) and the church will then be asked for their support next week. If supported this position will be included and filled with the Sunday School Teacher Nominations at our 2024 annual meeting in January.
