Gateway Woods is looking for willing volunteers for a Friday & Saturday work project November 11th &12th for a Fall Volunteer Project. We are planning to work on the pasture and barn fencing areas. We raise a variety of animals, for both our Residential and our GW Farms programs over several acres of pastureland behind our barn. The fencing needs an upgrade as wooden posts are rotting and the barb wire and mesh are getting old and sagging. We are looking for 12-15 people some of whom are experienced in, or willing to learn, pasture fencing installation. The crew will work to remove old wire mesh, corner and line posts, and wire. We then reinstall and “remodel” the fencing design to better fit the needs of our small farm. Unskilled laborers are welcome too ! There will be plenty to do. Please reach out to either Keith Schambach @ 250-376-1748 or Chad Kaeb 260-376-1713 to reserve your spot.
